I wear a lot of hats. I’m an award-winning theater artist, a religion reporter and a spiritual director.

Regardless of the hat I’m wearing, I am driven by a desire to explore the stories people tell about themselves and others. In my work as a theater artist and as the founder of Cry Havoc Theater Company (2014-2023), I have traveled across the country to collect interviews on guns in America and to the Southern border to interview people on all sides of the immigration conversation.

These days, I work in the interfaith space in Dallas bringing people together for the common good and I write about the intersection of religion and politics for Baptist News Global.
